Port Dover residents Patricia Kjarsgaard and Janice Long were at last night’s Council in Committee meeting hoping the County could help solve a noise complaint.
The pair’s concerns focused on the carwash dryer at South Coast Auto Laundry in Port Dover, just next door to their respective houses.
During their deputation, they explained the difficulties they faced due to the noise.
Mark Deyoung, the owner of the carwash, expressed frustration for the deputation when he got the chance to address our elected officials.
He suggested that it would cost around $200,000 to solve the noise concerns raised in the deputation.
County solicitor Paula Boutis commented, adding that there wasn’t much Norfolk County could do, as the business owner had followed all of the rules.
