The Grand Erie District School Board is inviting the community to help choose a new name for the soon-to-be expanded learning space at Elgin Avenue Public School in Simcoe.
With renovations adding 17,000 square feet and uniting students from Elgin Avenue and West Lynn Public School, the Board is looking for a moniker that reflects this fresh start.
The public can submit suggestions based on themes such as local geography, historical figures, or influential community members.
Submissions are open until May 24, and a committee will review entries before presenting a final recommendation to the Board of Trustees in the spring.
The revamped school is set to welcome students in March 2026.
