
A 52-year-old woman from Norfolk County is facing multiple charges following an impaired driving incident in Simcoe.
On Tuesday, March 11th, approximately 9:24 p.m., Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers from the Norfolk County Detachment responded to a 9-1-1 call about a suspected impaired driver on Sydenham Street.
Officers located the vehicle shortly after on Culver Street and conducted a roadside sobriety test, resulting in the driver’s arrest without incident.
The driver has been charged with operation while impaired (blood alcohol concentration over 80), having care or control of a vehicle with cannabis readily available, and failing to provide an insurance card.
Police continue to remind residents to report suspected impaired drivers immediately by calling 9-1-1.
Impaired driving is a serious offense that endangers everyone on the road.
