The Provincial Election takes place on February 27th.
We are reaching out to candidates for interviews to discuss why they want to serve as Haldimand-Norfolk’s next Member of Provincial Parliament.
Bobbi Ann Brady has been representing Haldimand-Norfolk as the only Independent MPP in Ontario since 2022, securing a surprising victory over Ken Hewitt.
A key message in Brady’s campaign is addressing what she calls a false narrative—the claim that Haldimand-Norfolk is losing out on funding because it has an Independent MPP rather than a party-affiliated representative.
One of the most talked-about moments of this campaign has been the Haldimand Press debate—or rather, what was supposed to be a debate.
Due to scheduling conflicts and last-minute cancellations, the event was shaping up to be a one-on-one discussion between Brady and PC candidate Amy Martin. However, before the debate could begin, Martin withdrew, stating that the format was not what she had initially agreed to and that participating would be unfair to the other candidates.
Despite the discussions surrounding the debate, Brady maintains that having an Independent MPP is the best option for Haldimand-Norfolk.
We will continue to reach out to candidates and share their perspectives as Election Day approaches.
