Grand Erie Public Health (GEPH) reports 11 new measles cases in Norfolk County, bringing the region’s total to 48.
Six adults and 42 children are affected, with one case hospitalized.
GEPH is investigating and reaching out to contacts who may have been exposed.
Residents are urged to check their vaccination status and take precautions.
At this time, the investigation has determined that those at the following locations may have been exposed to the measles virus:
- LaSalette Old Colony School, 71 La Salette Rd., La Salette, February 5, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Glen Meyer Old Colony School, 1436 1st Concession Rd., Langton, February 5-6, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Tim Hortons (A-wing, 1st floor), 200 Terrace Hill St., Brantford, February 10, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
- Tim Hortons (A-wing, 1st floor), 200 Terrace Hill St., Brantford, February 11, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
- Tim Hortons (A-wing, 1st floor), 200 Terrace Hill St., Brantford, February 12, 2025, from 9 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
