With measles cases climbing, Grand Erie Public Health wants to make sure residents are as safe as can be.
During a media call on Tuesday, they said the region is an outbreak situation which requires some extra precaution for the youngest population in the area.
The first dose of measles-containing vaccine is given at 12 months of age with a second dose routinely given between four to six years of age.

GEPH has confirmed 37 confirmed cases (five adults and 32 children) in the region since the start of January.
