Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced Sunday that the LCBO will no longer carry any American-made products, including wine, beer, spirits, seltzers, and other U.S. beverages.
These items will be removed from store shelves by Tuesday, February 4th.
The decision follows the retaliatory tariffs Prime Minister Justin Trudeau unveiled on Saturday night in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to impose a 25% tariff on nearly all Canadian goods.
Ford confirmed that American products will also be unavailable for wholesale purchases, meaning bars, restaurants, and other wholesale customers will no longer be able to legally buy them in the province.
