A police traffic stop in Courtland led to charges for a prohibited driver after an Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) alert.
On Monday (Jan27), just after 8:00 p.m., an officer from the Norfolk County OPP stopped a vehicle on Main Street in Courtland. After cameras on the cruiser using the ALPR system flagged its license plate. The investigation determined the driver was prohibited from driving.
A 45 year old Norfolk County man, was arrested without incident and charged with operation while prohibited and driving a motor vehicle without a validated permit.
