Police are investigating a fatal crash in Simcoe that claimed the life of a missing Norfolk County resident.
Around 9:37 a.m. on Friday, January 17th, Norfolk County OPP and paramedics responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a sedan on St. John’s Road West. The 37-year-old driver, a Norfolk County resident, suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police confirmed the deceased was reported missing the day before from Brown Street in Port Dover. Police extend their condolences to the family and thank the public for their assistance.
St. John’s Road West, between Norfolk Street South and Hillcrest Road South, remains closed for several hours during the investigation. The West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) Team is assisting.
