Two individuals have been charged in separate incidents at Norfolk General Hospital on West Street.
On Tuesday (Jan14), around 11:40 a.m., OPP officers responded to a trespassing call. An individual had refused to leave the hospital when directed by staff. Police arrived and arrested the individual, who damaged an OPP vehicle during the incident. As a result, a 46-year-old woman from Oxford County was charged with mischief for damaging property.
Then yesterday (Jan15), at around 3:17 a.m., OPP responded to a break-and-enter at the hospital. Two suspects were seen trying to steal items from an outbuilding. One suspect was arrested on Elgin Avenue, while the second, wearing a multi-coloured bomber jacket, fled on foot.
A 48-year-old man from Norfolk County was charged with break and enter and theft under $5,000. Police continue to search for the second suspect involved in the break-and-enter.
