It was a clash of titans—literally—when Simcoe Composite and Holy Trinity collided on the volleyball court yesterday in a crosstown rivalry showdown!
The Junior Sabres (6-3) tried to play spoiler, but the undefeated Junior Titans (9-0) kept their perfect season alive, winning 3 sets to 1.
In the senior matchup, the Sabres (8-1) entered the contest riding high atop the division, while the Titans (6-3) were hot on a five-game tear. The Titans stayed red-hot, sweeping the Sabres 3-0. Ella Ormerod (#6) and Lucy Dewaard (#8) were strong in the front line for the Titans, while Sabres’ Stephanie Samborski (#8) kept her team in the fight with a barrage of powerful serves.
The Junior division remains led by the powerhouse Titans and Cayuga, while Simcoe and Delhi hold the top spots in the Senior division.
With playoffs looming, the Titans are making noise—can anyone cool down Holy Trinity’s fire? Time will tell.
