Two barns were destroyed in a late-night fire on Concession 10 Townsend on Thursday. Norfolk County Fire Department responded to the blaze just after 11:30 p.m., with assistance from two Haldimand County fire stations.
The barns, which were unoccupied at the time, contained items valued at approximately $1,000,000. The property owner had insurance, and no injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported.
The Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
