Get ready for an action-packed Sunday at the Port Dover Arena! The hometown Sailors face off against the Glanbrook Rangers at 2 p.m. in the highly anticipated Teddy Bear Toss game, honouring the late Luke Johnson. Fans are encouraged to bring teddy bears to toss onto the ice when the Sailors score their first goal. All bears will be donated to Caring for Cancer in Simcoe.
The event kicks off with an emotional ceremony retiring Luke’s #2 jersey, cementing his legacy in Port Dover Minor Hockey history.
Adding to the excitement, a set of Maple Leaf vs Sabres tickets are up for grabs and five Hamilton Bulldogs tickets will be raffled off. If that weren’t enough the 50/50 proceeds will support the Norfolk Haldimand Community Hospice.
Kids wearing their Minor Hockey jerseys and carrying a teddy bear get free admission. Don’t miss this heartwarming game blending hockey, community, and a worthy cause. Be there! Go Sailors!
