It’s a chilly Friday the 13th.
Despite the weather, there will be bikes from all over Ontario still braving the trip down to Port Dover today.
That was Constable Andrew Gamble.
In Norfolk County, it is shaping up to be a sunny but cold day, but that’s not the case elsewhere in Ontario and the goal is just to get to the lakeside town safe and sound.
On the last Friday the 13th event in September, sadly police did respond to one fatal collision involving a motorcycle in the Waterford area.
Whether you are on a bike or in a car, be mindful today.
Gamble added that many go down to Port Dover to have a good time, but if that involves alcohol or drugs, do not get on that bike or behind the wheel.
While in Port Dover, if anyone has concerns, police won’t be far away.
Gamble added you can’t control other drivers behaviours on the road, but you can always control yours.
