The Simcoe Christmas Panorama is coming up fast!
For those new to the community, Lucas Wilson explains why it’s such a big deal locally.
People travel down to take in the sights each year.
For people in Norfolk, it can sometimes be easy to take for granted the special event we have in our own backyard, as it has simply always been there for many of us.
Volunteers keep this tradition running, looking for donations to keep the lights on.
That’s not just a phrase about sustaining the event—most of the donations made by the public literally go towards keeping the lights on.
With that, they are still using any additional funds to make the rest of the Panorama the best it can be.
That does include new additions.
The official light-up is this Saturday at Wellington Park.
Wilson said those organizing it have their fingers crossed that the forecast holds true and that we may get a bit of snow.
