Haldimand County is set to unveil its fully redesigned website on November 19th, bringing residents a more user-friendly and accessible online experience. The revamped site, a priority project for the current council, features improved search tools, easy-to-use forms, and a cleaner design aimed at enhancing usability for all.
The redesign aligns with Ontario’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), with an end-of-year compliance deadline. Funded in part by a federal Enabling Accessibility Fund grant, which contributed over $100,000, the project addresses longstanding issues raised by the community.
Alongside the main website, November 19th will also see new launches for Tourism Haldimand and the Haldimand County Public Library, offering enhanced navigation and resources.
“Accessibility is critical, but this project goes beyond compliance,” said Mayor Shelley Ann Bentley, who commended the project team for creating a website that serves residents’ needs. Haldimand County encourages feedback to ensure the site continues to meet community expectations.
