Norfolk County is inviting residents to an Open House today (November 6) to discuss updates to its Community Improvement Plan (CIP). This in-person event at the Simcoe Recreation Centre offers a chance for the community to review draft changes, ask questions, and provide feedback.
The CIP, last adopted in 2015, offers financial incentives—like grants, loans, and rebates—for private property and organizational improvement projects. These include construction, building conversions, repairs, and land rehabilitation.
The updated draft CIP introduces new incentives for environmental efficiency, agricultural uses, and affordable housing. Enhanced support for landscaping, signage, and building façade improvements is also included. Updates add flexibility in eligibility and expand the CIP area to cover all of Norfolk County. Improved tools for monitoring and implementing the plan are also proposed.
The Open House runs from 4:30 to 6:30 pm in a drop-in format, allowing residents to help shape Norfolk’s future.
