CHILDREN’S BEREAVEMENT DAY CAMP
Where: Caledonia Fairgrounds, Caithness Street East, Caledonia
When: Tue Oct 8, 2024 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Our goal is to provide grieving children an opportunity to share their thoughts and feelings related to the loss of their loved one, find support knowing they are not alone in their grief, normalize the experience and help in building and maintaining coping skills for life.
We achieve this goal through discussions, games, art, music and play. This day ends with the child’s parent/guardians and siblings joining us to view the children’s work and share in a special time of honouring and remembering their loved one.
As a follow up to this day we provide a further 2-hour evening “Pizza Party” session designed as a “check in” time with the children and families.
There is no cost to families and preregistration in required. Lunch and Snacks are provided. This program is open for children SK-Grade 8.
