Many people know Daryl Granger from Rosele Studios for being innovative when it comes to capturing the perfect image.
If you go to a Norfolk County event, and you see a drone flying high, it’s likely Granger taking videos of the event – a new way of capturing action that he leapt at when he had the chance.
But now, he has a new project that is turning a lot of heads – an upcoming full length documentary called Netting the Waters.
With that thought in mind, Granger got top of the line equipment, and hit the water.
What started off as a project looking at life out on the water expanded as he looked at all aspects of the job.
He found himself often amazed and drawn in by just what happens out on Lake Erie, and the risk and rewards that accompany it.
Granger pushed his limits when making this film, trying new ideas and losing a few pieces of equipment to the lake in search of the perfect shot.
But to him, having gone to school for film making, this was a full circle moment and he needed to see the project completely exactly the way he envisioned.
The film garnered so much attending that a screening at The Strand came to be.
That first show? It sold out the first day – so now a second date has been added.
Granger said the film is for anyone interested in Norfolk’s fishing history and what life is like on the water – you don’t need to be a seasoned angler to get the most out of it.
Tickets for the screening on October 28th, at 6:45 PM are limited.
Priced at $20, they are exclusively available at Rose Le Studio.
