The Waterford District Highschool Community Bingo is returning for its fifth event, organized by Jennifer Thompson, a teacher at Waterford District High School. Running for three school years, this community favorite is for everyone.
Thompson went on to invite anyone aged 18 and over to enjoy a fun evening while supporting a great cause.
All funds raised from the event go directly toward student extracurricular activities, including sports, clubs, dances, trips and school gear. It also provides for students that might have financial barriers explains Thompson.
The next bingo night is scheduled for Wednesday, September 25th at Waterford District Highschool, 227 Main Street South, Waterford. Doors open at 5pm, and games will start at 6pm. Shaw’s Gourmet Dogs and Spuds food truck will be on-site from 4:30 p.m. serving up tasty treats.
There will also be a 50/50 draw and student volunteers will be selling snacks, with proceeds supporting student council activities. Thompson explained the success they’ve had with events like these and there is more to come.
Keep an eye on local Facebook groups and the Grand Erie District School Board’s social media for updates. You could be the next dabber yelling BINGO!
