Ontario Provincial Police officers have ratified a four-year deal to become the highest paid in the province.
The union representing some 10-thousand officers and civilian employees says the deal was needed because their members’ salaries had ranked 32nd in Ontario.
It says a first-class constable will earn a salary of 123-thousand dollars by the end of the agreement, which stretches to 2026
