This past weekend the Downtown Simcoe BIA with the Simcoe Lions Club, Deputy Mayor Van Paassen and family members honoured the memory of Larry Dawson.
Mr. Dawson was well known in the community for his volunteer work and was named Citizen of the Year in 2018.
A memorial bench has been placed in Lynnwood park, with a plaque that reads:
For his love of his community
His commitment to serving others
and an inspiration to so many.
