Mayor Amy Marin has responded to a story we brought you this morning involving MPP Bobbi Ann Brady and a recent Minister visit to Norfolk.
In that article, Brady was not pleased that she was not given an invite on Wednesday when the Minister of Infrastructure came to Port Dover, or any information of the visit taking place.
She noted that this was the second time a Minister has come to the area without her being informed of the visit, and felt that Norfolk was side stepping their MPP to get to the Ford government directly.
Martin responded this morning, noting she wants to have a positive relationship moving forward.
She also was very pleased with how the visit was from the Minister, noting it is good to have Ministers in the county to tackle the issues head on.
Martin also said, in the interest of residents, the county will continue to advocate hard to receive financial assistance moving forward.
She was upfront that more challenges lay ahead, and provincial and federal funding is key.
