Waterford District High School is hosting Invest in Your Future career fair this Wednesday night.
This is Waterford District High School’s first career fair. Guidance Counsellor, Lauren Neilson says: “The major benefit of this event is to bring as many local employers, skilled trades unions, colleges and universities together under one roof to allow both students and their parents/guardians to ask questions and make connections.” Connections like these could lead to potential co-operative education placements, apprenticeships, or even employment.
The school has had a very positive response to the event and they are expecting more than 40 participants. Also, Andy’s On Wheels food truck will be in attendance in the parking lot for any hungry visitors, and Belching Barista from Waterford will be inside selling coffee.
Doors open at 6 pm and will close at 8 pm. The first 300 students through the door will receive WDHS tote bags to put their swag and info inside!
