For the first time, Pride Haldimand-Norfolk will be hosting a Pride Day in Norfolk County!
Co-Chair Jason Dale says everyone behind the scenes is excited about a new setting and what that could mean.
Dale also spoke to us about the importance of this event, regardless if it’s held in Haldimand or Norfolk.
For those who have travelled down to Haldimand for the previous years events, you’ll likely notice a few changes in the schedule – starting with the date of May 25th.
One thing that has made people at Pride Haldimand-Norfolk happy is the amount of support they have received.
They recently got a grant from Norfolk County related to this event, and were thrilled to see the Grand Erie District School Board sign on as a sponsor for the first time.
One of the special moments will be official recognition to Ryder Mandryk, who with the Ryder’s Rainbow initiative, has helped install two rainbow crosswalks in Norfolk County – one in Simcoe and one in Port Dover.
