The Norfolk General Hospital Volunteer Association provided a significant financial boost to the hospital and the nursing home.
A cheque for over $42K was handed over with that money going towards items like beds, mattresses, laparoscopic equipment, delivery carts, overbed tables, and additional furniture.
The money was raised based on revenue from the Volunteer Association’s three hospital businesses: the Coffee Kiosk, the Craft Group and the Gift shop.
Community fundraisers also help such as Treasure Mart, as well as proceeds from a highly successful 50/50 draw which raised more than $12,000 for the association.
