Port Dover isn’t the only place celebrating something this weekend- in Waterford it’s the 41st Annual Pumkinfest weekend!
This event is hosted by the Waterford Lions, but other organizations also take advantage of the crowds being drawn to town.
The Waterford Legion Branch 123 will be hosting Fish N Chips and Live Music on Friday night starting at 4:30.
One piece of fish is $11.50, and a two-piece dinner is $16.
This is eat-in or take out, but if you’re grabbing it to go you will need to bring your own bag. Then from 7 until 11pm CR and Danny Thompson will bring the tunes to keep the evening rocking.
Saturday they’re hosting a Meat Draw starting at 3pm and will be serving cabbage rolls followed by a Pumpkinfest Costume Dance that evening from 7 until 11pm, with music by the Atkinson Brothers as well as a light lunch.
On Sunday they will be serving brunch from 9am until noon, the cost for adults is $15, kids between the ages of 6 and 12 eat for $8, while kids 5 and under eat for free.
On Saturday bring the kids to the Waterford Branch of the NCPL for a Pumpkin Party from 11am until 1pm, with pumpkin decorating, pumpkin games, pumpkin crafts and more.
Also happening Saturday, Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church in Waterford will be hosting a Ukrainian Meal serving perogies, cabbage rolls, homemade cutlet, cabbage salad and bun. This is dine in or take out for only $25 and is running from 1:30 until they sell out.
