We are continuing our election coverage, with all but one polling station officially accounted for.
Local Liberal candidate Karen Matthews spoke with myFM yesterday at their headquarters watching the results.
She talked of her team’s efforts in this race.
She also wanted to thank everyone who did vote for her.
As of Tuesday morning, here are the results.
Leslyn Lewis, of the Conservative Party, won the seat with 28,716 votes.
Karen Matthews had a total of 16,332 votes in the riding.
Meghan Piironen of the New Democratic Party received 8,089 votes.
Ken Gilpin of the People’s Party Of Canada received 6,486 votes.
Charles Lugosi from the Christian Heritage Party had 546 votes.
George McMorrow of the Veterans Coalition Party of Canada had 254 votes.
