Simcoe Composite School students will be welcomed in next week by a new principal and vice-principal.
Principal Jennifer Ippolito and vice-principal Matthew Malcolm have been working together all summer to prepare for this school year.
The duo are excited to welcome the students in.
Ippolito echoed that sentiment.
Ippolito started in the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board where she was a French teacher for 16 years. Six years ago, she transferred to Grand Erie to the role of vice-principal, spending the last two and a half years at SCS, with this being her first year as a principal.
Malcolm has been with Grand Erie District School Board for 10 years, starting at Delhi District Secondary School, then Learning Alternatives in Brantford, and back to Delhi as the head of Guidance and Student Services. This year is his first in the role of vice-principal.
Students return to the classroom on September 7th.
