A good samaritan saves the day after motorcycle sale goes sideways in Charlotteville.
On Saturday, police say someone showed up to look at a motorcycle that was listed for sale, took it for a test drive, but then fled the scene with that bike.
A stolen SUV followed behind.
Officers patrolling the area subsequently located the motorcycle and SUV travelling Northbound on Highway 24.
The driver and passenger of the SUV subsequently abandoned the stolen vehicle in the Waterford area and with the assistance of Good Samaritans, police were able to locate both individuals who were taken into custody without incident.
As a result, police charged 21-year-old Prince Christopher Onyia and 22-year-old Shackel Oneil Fletcher, both of Hamilton, were charged with:
Theft of motor vehicle,
Possession property obtained by crime over $5,000, and
Fail to comply with probation order.
The stolen motorcycle is described as a blue and white coloured, 2005 Suzuki, GSRX 750cc.
The bike had an aftermarket exhaust and blue windshield.
The OPP is continuing to investigate and is making attempts to identify the third person that fled with the motorcycle.
