In a notice posted to the Norfolk County website on Tuesday, the county acknowledged the Province’s plan to sell the Normandale beach.
The Province of Ontario owns the beach, but it has been maintained by the county for over a decade.
“Public access to beaches should be a priority of all levels of government, and Norfolk County strongly supports the public’s ability to have continued access to the Normandale beach and Lake Erie,” said the notice.
Mayor Kristal Chopp will asked council during Tuesday’s meeting to allow further in-camera information on the matter be made public.
