Get ready for a playground that all ages can enjoy – Touch-a-Truck is returning to Langton! This Saturday (April 12th), from 10 am to 2 pm, the Langton Arena parking lot will be filled with family-friendly fun for all of Norfolk County.
Candice Vanhie, current Chair of the Board of Directors at Norfolk Little People’s Daycare and the lead planner for Touch-a-Truck, explains what the event is all about.
All proceeds from the day go directly to Norfolk Little People’s Daycare, supporting local childcare programs and helping kids thrive. Admission is just $5, and children under one get in for free. Candice explains how exactly this event benefits children in their daycare programs.
Kids will be able to explore and interact with a wide range of vehicles – from fire trucks and dump trucks to farm tractors and a concrete pumper. Even Lightning McQueen will make a special appearance!
But it’s not just about trucks. The event will also feature bouncy castles, live animals, face painting, and a raffle table. Vanhie shares why kids love Touch-a-Truck so much and how it’s something they look forward to each year.
New this year is a live water demonstration from Norfolk County firefighters, using a real pumper truck! And if all that excitement works up your appetite, Candice tells us about the variety of local food vendors on site.
You can also head inside the arena, where the Six Pack Hockey Tournament will be taking place – come enjoy some good old-fashioned Canadian hockey.
