A 31-year-old Norfolk County woman has been charged following an assault investigation involving a paramedic in Simcoe.
On Friday, March 28, 2025, at approximately 2:14 p.m., the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of an assault on Owen Street in Simcoe. According to police, a paramedic was engaged in an interaction with another individual when the paramedic was physically assaulted.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident. Following the investigation, the individual has been charged with assault with a weapon.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
