
A 46-year-old Norfolk County man is facing multiple charges following a drug trafficking investigation conducted by the Haldimand/Norfolk OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU).
On Monday, March 31, 2025, at approximately 6:50 a.m., officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Colborne Street North in Simcoe.
Upon entering, they arrested one individual without incident and seized suspected fentanyl, Canadian currency, and drug-related paraphernalia.
As a result, Michael Sloat, 46, of Norfolk County, has been charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (opioid other than heroin) and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
A photograph of the seized items has been released by police. The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
