Norfolk County is taking action to support residents and businesses as economic challenges continue. Following a recent Council meeting, a “Buy Locally Campaign” motion, introduced by Councillor Huffman, aims to encourage local shopping, promote Canadian-made products, and provide businesses with resources to navigate tariff challenges.
Businesses can access the Norfolk County Economic Development Tariff Resource Hub for tools, updates, and support. The Hub includes a survey from the Western Ontario Wardens Caucus to assess local business concerns. It also provides resources to explore economic opportunities, connect with Ontario-made goods, and stay informed about government relief programs.
Residents can find more information on Norfolk County’s new tariff response webpage, which highlights the benefits of supporting local businesses. The Visit Norfolk App offers a way to explore shops, attractions, and events.
John Regan, Director of Economic Development, encourages businesses to complete the survey and connect with the Economic Development team for further assistance.
