Norfolk County trying to provide some context as the annual Sunshine List has been released, listed people in the public sector who make over $100K.
114 staff members are on the list, they say representing 7.5 per cent of those employed with the county in 2024, an increase from 87 employees since 2023.
With that, other factors are at pay such as, in some cases, compensation includes one-time payments that may have boosted someone over the threshold, but their base salary remains below.
About 42% of staff on the list were funded by sources other than Norfolk County’s Levy, such as the Rate Budget, the Building Reserve, and Provincially funded programs.
