Eligible voters in Haldimand County’s Wards 1 and 4 can now cast their ballots for the 2025 by-election, with internet voting officially open and in-person advance polls beginning tomorrow.
Voter Notification Letters
All eligible voters should have received a Voter Notification Letter containing a Voter Identification Number (VIN) and PIN—essential for online voting and in-person identification. Sharing these numbers is strictly prohibited and may result in police action.
Residents who haven’t received their letter can check their status or register at haldimandvotes.ca or contact election officials at election@haldimandcounty.on.ca or (905) 318-5932.
Advance Internet Voting: March 31 – April 9
Online voting runs from Monday, March 31, at 9 a.m. until Wednesday, April 9, at 5 p.m. A voting portal is available at haldimandvotes.ca, requiring the VIN and PIN from the Voter Notification Letter. Those without internet access can vote at Haldimand County libraries or the administration building.
Advance In-Person Voting
Three advance polls allow residents to vote early at any location:
April 1: Hagersville Arena (Almas Room) – 2 to 6 p.m.
April 2: Jarvis Community Centre – 2 to 6 p.m.
April 5: Haldimand County Administration Building – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to vote early to avoid last-minute issues.
