The Brantford Police Service has charged a 48-year-old local resident with first-degree murder following an early morning arrest on Sunday (March 23rd).
The arrest follows an active investigation into a suspicious death that occurred late Friday night.
On March 21, at around 11:00 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call at a motel on Colborne Street near Locks Road, where they discovered a 34-year-old male victim with fatal injuries.
Authorities have confirmed that the incident was not random and have reassured the public that there is no ongoing threat to safety.
While an arrest has now been made, Brantford Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
