March is Fraud Prevention Month, and the Ontario Provincial Police is hoping that in 2025, the province stops a concerning trend.
That was Sgt. Ed Sanchuk with the West Region OPP.
This month, they are making sure the public is aware of the many scams out there, as some may seem fishy from the start but others can be very convincing.
Sanchuk continued that the only way they can keep up with the many frauds out there is when people report them.
Unfortunately, that is not always the case.
Next week, (station) will be taking time each day to highlight a specific fraud to make sure you are well informed.
