Norfolk County is once again inviting stakeholders and residents to an open house to share the vision behind the Draft Master Recreation Plan.
The purpose of the open house, on April 8th, is to present the draft version of the plan, which county staff say has the potential to reshape Norfolk County for years to come.
Council has not made a final decision yet, so this is a key opportunity for residents and visitors to learn more about the plan, ask questions, and provide valuable feedback.
The draft Master Recreation Plan will be presented to the Council-in-Committee for debate and consideration on May 13th, but it remains open to changes based on community input.
The open house will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Simcoe Recreation Centre.
Feedback is welcome through stakeholder meetings, input from the Recreation and Parks Advisory Committee, and suggestions received during the open house or online.
If you can’t attend the event, you can still learn more about the plan and provide feedback by visiting EngageNorfolk.ca/Recreation-without-borders.
This Master Plan turned a few heads when it was first introduced as it proposed closing multiple arenas.
The last open house also fell on a very busy day, as it took place during the provincial election.
