Prime Minister Mark Carney has called out U.S. President Donald Trump for his “disrespectful” remarks about Canada becoming the 51st state.
Speaking from London, Carney insisted such rhetoric must stop.
The remarks come amid rising tensions and Trump’s threats of economic pressure on Canada.
With that, Carney says Canada is ready to sit and talk about the issues as soon as possible.
