
A 65-year-old Tillsonburg man is facing impaired driving charges following an unusual incident involving an e-bike that ended up in a ditch.
On Thursday, around 8:00 p.m., officers from the Oxford County OPP Detachment responded to a report of an e-bike in a ditch along Oxford Road 13 in the Town of Norwich.
Upon arrival, police located the driver of the e-bike and conducted an investigation.
As a result, the man was arrested and charged with:
Operation while Impaired – Alcohol
Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with the collision.
The OPP continues to remind the public that operating any vehicle while impaired — including e-bikes — is a criminal offence.
