After her landslide win, Haldimand-Norfolk MPP Bobbi Ann Brady is sharpening her pencil and jotting down items for her “to do” list when she returns to Queen’s Park next month.
Top of her list: Creating an Agricultural Committee at Queens Park.
She feels the Progressive Conservatives have been lacking when it comes to supporting or even acknowledging agriculture and rural affairs and wants to see that change.
Another big item high on her list is making sure seniors in our riding have a place to go, putting shovels in the ground to build or expand senior homes.
During her first tour at MPP, and during the election campaign, once issue that Brady stood strong on was her opposition to a city of 40,000 coming to Nanticoke.
With the government eyeing up the idea of building an energy facility in the same area, Brady says she will do her part to get that done.
One thing Brady is not focusing on is the ongoing Trade War.
While it’s important, she is focusing on other issues that she feels the government needs to address but is ignoring because of tariffs.
Rounding out her list is seeing the Argyle Street Bridge finally get finished and reducing Teachers college to one year instead of two to get more teachers out in the field.
