International Women’s Day looks at how far we’ve come but also concern about how far is left to go

International Women’s Day is tomorrow (Sat) and women in Norfolk County and around the world will be marking the day in different ways.

But in most celebrations, while there’s talk of how far we’ve come, there’s concern about how far we have left to go and in some cases, like we’re seeing Stateside, a slip backwards.

Melissa Maloney is co-founder of the organization All Women Lead and she says women are nervous right now.

With tension in the air, she says a big part of the group is being real.

Those real talks tackle the tough issues, but celebrate the good as well.
