Last year, Doug Ford made waves when he stood up at Ontario legislature and said this:
That was his comments to Bobbi Ann Brady after she asked a question to the Premier.
While Ford won last night, and once again picked up a majority government, Haldimand-Norfolk fell through his fingers yet again.
Brady secured more than double the amount of votes she received back in 2022.
During that campaign, against Ken Hewitt, Brady received close to 16,000 votes – this year she got nearly 34,000.
To make matters worse, when comparing ridings, Brady also received double the support in Haldimand-Norfolk than Ford has in his riding of Etobicoke North.
Ford’s riding, according to the 2021 census, has a population around 116,003.
That matches closely to Haldimand-Norfolk, which according to that same census, has a population around 116,706.
In his riding, Ford got 15,120 votes.
In Haldimand-Norfolk, Brady got 33,669.
