
The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board (BHNCDSB) has announced the appointment of Michael Lawlor as its new Superintendent of Education, effective March 24, 2025.
Lawlor joins BHNCDSB from the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board, bringing over 20 years of experience in Catholic education, including 12 years as a school administrator. His expertise spans faith leadership, equity and inclusion, student success, curriculum development, and community engagement.
Beyond his professional roles, Lawlor is an active community leader. He has served on the board of directors for Catholic Family Services and Contact Hamilton for Children’s and Developmental Services. He is also involved in his parish and is a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus.
Excited to begin his new role, Lawlor stated, “I am thrilled to join BHNCDSB. I look forward to working with the Senior Leadership Team and engaging with students, staff, and families in our Catholic school communities.”
