The Port Dover Sailors set sail into their best-of-seven battle against the Dundas Blues, but Game 1 was a rough ride. The Blues came out flying at Market Street Arena, cruising to a 9-2 win in front of their home crowd.
Dundas has been boasting that this year’s squad is one of their most electrifying in years—and they backed it up on the scoreboard. Meanwhile, the Sailors have battled adversity all season, losing key staff and struggling early, but they’ve been finding their stride in recent weeks.
Now, the series shifts to Port Dover, where the Sailors will look to steady the ship. Game 2 is set for Saturday, Feb. 22, at 8:00 p.m. at Port Dover Arena, followed by Game 3 on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
Can the Sailors rally, or will the Blues keep singing their victory tune? Stay tuned, hockey fans!
