The Norfolk County Public Library (NCPL) has announced an exciting new program, The Library Roadshow with the CEO. This initiative offers community members a chance to meet Julie Kent, NCPL’s CEO, for coffee and conversations at Library branches across Norfolk.
Now in her third year at NCPL, Kent has built strong connections with the community, its people, and the staff, but she envisions exciting opportunities for growth ahead.
Inspired by “Antiques Roadshow”, the program focuses on gathering feedback, sharing ideas, and strengthening the Library’s role as a community hub. Young or old, Kent explains everyone is welcome, there is no restrictions to who can participate.
The Roadshow will visit each of Norfolk’s five Library branches twice per year, starting on January 29th at the Port Rowan Branch. Sessions are open to all, including those without Library cards. Guests such as Library Board Chair Kimberly Earls will join select events.
Kent says the program will help adapt Library services to meet the unique needs of each of Norfolk’s communities. By connecting directly with residents, she aims to align services with local interests.
The Roadshow reflects NCPL’s commitment to learning, growth, and innovation, ensuring the Library continues to be a vital community resource.
The program schedule will roll out as follows:
- Wednesday, January 29 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Port Rowan Branch
- Tuesday, February 18 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Delhi Branch
