It’s been a significant week for Norfolk County Mayor Amy Martin, and she says it’s equally impactful for local residents.
Martin was recently elected as Chair of the Western Ontario Wardens’ Caucus (WOWC).
She spoke to NorfolkToday about the importance of this leadership role and what it means for the region.
Martin expressed her enthusiasm for the position and the opportunities it presents.
She described her election as a “win-win situation,” looking forward to the positive impact it could have on Norfolk County.
Adding to the week’s accomplishments, Martin was also named Chair of the Board of Health for the newly formed Grand Erie Public Health (GEPH).
The new Board of Health consists of representatives from multiple regions, including one appointee from Haldimand County, two from Norfolk County, two from the City of Brantford, one from the County of Brant, and up to five members appointed by the Province.
With these new roles, Mayor Martin is poised to influence decisions at both the regional and local levels, bringing potential benefits to Norfolk County residents.
