2024 was a packed year for Haldimand-Norfolk MPP Bobbi Ann Brady, who found inspiration in the voices of local residents. Attending events and meetings in the community, she emphasized that connecting with creative and hardworking people in the riding shapes her work.
Among her legislative efforts, Brady introduced key motions, including increasing the HST rebate threshold for new home builders, reducing Teachers College to one year, and penalizing governments that break fixed election date laws. A standout proposal of Brady’s called to honour Canadian veterans.
A number of municipalities, including Haldimand have begun doing that. The MPP also advocated for adopting electronic petitions, relief from the federal carbon tax, and addressing affordability in the housing market.
Brady is very proud of being invited to Nova Scotia by Professor Alex Marland. Marland has authored a number of books on defending democracy and how party politics works in Canada.
Since 2022, Brady has been vocal on the fact that democracy is in jeopardy here in Ontario and across Canada.
Brady says the best times of 2024, were spent right here in the riding with the people of Haldimand-Norfolk. She cherished attending parades, fairs and festivals, praising Haldimand-Norfolk’s vibrant spirit.
Brady remains committed to representing the region’s interests while showcasing its strengths on the provincial, national, and international stages.
